'Countryside Day' in Corumbela

Here’s a bit of fun if you’re near to Corumbela (between Daimalos and Archez) tomorrow, Saturday 3rd November. This little village is celebrating its 4th ‘Jornada Campestre’ (countryside day), with plenty of live music, dancing and food on offer.

The activities are as follows –

12.30 – The entertainment starts at 12.30 pm with a group of dancers from Corumbela and Sayalonga.

1.00 – This is followed by a choir from Corumbela

2.30 – The ever popular snack at this time of year – migas – made from breadcrumbs or semolina and seasoning, is then served up along with chorizo and morcilla sausage.

4.00 – More local displays of dancing and singing.

5.00 – Finally, there’s a spectacular horse show!

About Me

I worked in this glorious part of Spain for over 11 years – from hosting a local radio programme to founding both a magazine and newspaper for English speakers in the region. Always the aim was to give people a better insight into the fascinating eastern Málaga region, something that, along with my wife Julie, we now aim to continue with our website.
